WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A woman and child were taken to the hospital after their car crashed through a fence and down an embankment in Winston-Salem Friday.
The car fell about 20 feet into the storm drainage collection area off Robinhood Road.
The Winston-Salem Journal is reporting that the woman was pulling into the parking lot shortly after 10 a.m. at the Robinhood Road Family YMCA when the Honda sedan accelerated, crashed through a fence, down the embankment and landed on its roof.
The woman and child were taken to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center where their conditions are unknown.
