I believe this may be my plans for Halloween!


Here’s a look at 10 spooky Halloween horror movies that were filmed here in North Carolina.

You may have seen some of these, as several were quite successful.

Cabin Fever (2002)

“Cabin Fever” follows a group of college students vacationing in a cabin in the woods. They begin to fall victim to a flesh-eating virus. The movie was a big hit, mixing horror and comedy. It was filmed in locations including High Point, Winston-Salem, Mount Airy and Mocksville.

Priddy’s General Store in Stokes County also played a role in the movie. “There isn’t a month that goes by when I’m not talking to a customer about the movie,” Owner Jane Priddy Charleville told the Winston-Salem Journal in 2011. “I always know when it’s been played on the Syfy Channel.”

Cabin Fever also has a sequel that was filmed in North Carolina.
